Backpacking 101

Mark your calendars for two amazing weekends....October 15-17th, workshop style training, and October 30th and 31st for your group led hike.

Backpacking 101 is designed for new hikers ready to jump on the trail, but not quite sure where to start.

Weekend one (October 15-17th); this fun filled weekend, You will learn all the basics of backpacking including: gear options, fire building, first aid, camp cooking, basic orienteering, Leave No Trace, Hostel/shuttle ettiquete, a campfire Q&A (challenge us!) and so much more.

Weekend two (October 30th-31st) You will have the opportunity to team up with a group to complete an overnight backpacking trip that you all will plan yourselves. (don't worry, we won't leave you out there unsupervised, one or more of our team members will be right there with you, but you all are in charge!).

This class is designed for those over 16 years old.
