Please join us for a Ribbon Cutting & Open House in celebration of Backpack Society. Refreshments will be served and exclusive tours of Backpack Society will be held throughout the event for all guests to get an inside look into the new facility.

We look forward to seeing you on September 28th, 4 pm-6 pm with Ribbon Cutting at 5 pm.

Backpack Society was started in 2019 with a mission to remove food insecurity as an obstacle for children so they can grow, learn, and thrive by providing supplemental nutrition on the weekends and during school breaks that they otherwise would go without.

Research proves that hunger in school children leads to poor school performance, anxiety, nervousness, and a lowered amount of social interaction among their peers. A program that fills the gap of meals that are not provided on the weekend could potentially lessen these negative problems and sustain healthy developmental growth.
