Beats Pacifik is proud to present Back to Back, a night dedicated to the inability to plan. Pairing DJs with similar styles that aren’t the usual duo, with little practice and no plan to bring the full spontaneity of professionals reading the dancefloor. Back to Back will be featuring a mix of genres to take you on a journey through the spectrum of electronic music.It also just so happens that this is The Downbeats one year anniversary- so we wanted to keep the ticket price low so all our friends and supporters could be sure to attend.
The first of many will start in the deeper, funkier sounds of Billiam paired with the Afro and Latin influenced house of Andrew Allsgood. Next the chunky Tech-House grooves of DJ Sarah-hannah switching with the bass heavy House shakers of Trust will elevate the mood and prepare for the final pairing. The frenetic Jungle and deep dubs of Dyce rinsing with the cerebral DnB and Ragga laden smashers of The Guru will take you through a Breakbeat field. This is a one time experience you won’t want to miss. The kick off also happens to be the one-year anniversary of the first dancefloor at The Downbeat. Come celebrate the birthday of a community hub club and be part of the anniversary floor.

With over 20 years behind the decks, Billiam blends house, tech house, techno, and bass house into deep, driving sets that move both body and soul. A founding member of the Recovery House collective, he channels his journey into music that connects and uplifts. For the past five years, Billiam has been throwing transformative parties that celebrate community, recovery, and the unifying power of the underground sound.

Sarah-Hannah Bedard started djing in 1996 and making electronic music in 1998. As one of the first female DJs and producers in Western Canada, Sarah-Hannah was a pioneer in the electronic music scene in the mid to late 1990s. One of her career highlights was opening-up for the legendary Hip Hop band ‘De La Soul’ in Amsterdam! Plus she’s DJ’ed opening sets for some of the biggest DJs in the world: Armin Van Buren, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Heather, Derrick Carter, Ricardo Villalobos, Sasha & David Morales (to name a few). Sarah-Hannah also enjoys playing Guitar, ukulele, banjolele, tamboura and singing vocals in various band projects in Victoria, and is working in her home studio on a solo project of original songs.

His live performances span a vast musical landscape, from Garage, Breaks, and Jungle to Chicago Footwork. DYCE delivers hand picked gems from a multitude of underground music outlets and influences. Generating waves in the Island scene, his sets are characterized by precision blends, intricate selection, and an energetic stage presence.

Through drums The Guru discovered a love for the rhythms that beat deep within us. Armed with a pair of turntables and a collection of music that rivals most libraries, he embarked on a journey to share his means of meditation with the world. His mission? To ensure that everyone gets to ride a sonic wave of ripping Amen breaks, pumping Disco drums and even the odd dub echo on a journey into music.
