To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album "Back To Times Of Splendor", Leipzig-based melodic death metal band Disillusion will be embarking on a well-deserved European tour in 2024. Disillusion have been delivering what the German metal scene has been craving for years: brute walls of guitars meet melodic vocals and swirling drums meet spherical sounds. When the gentlemen from Leipzig invite you to join them, you simply have to be there.
Disillusion have been causing a stir in the scene since 1994. Initially categorized as thrash metal, the band blew up every genre drawer with "Red". From then on, the quintet went their own way and thrilled the masses with a sound that had never been heard before. With the two albums "Back to Times of Splendor" and "Gloria", the musicians then moved closer to melodic death, completely redefining this genre with their songs. A full thirteen years later, the third album "The Liberation" caused a storm of enthusiasm. So it's no wonder that Disillusion was and still is a welcome guest at well-known festivals such as Wacken and Summer Breeze.
