Activity Description: Learning art is fun and easy with our tiered beginner level art classes. Create a beautiful winter barn scene using pencils. Students will learn how to select and use drawing papers and different pencil types, as well as how to use drawing tools including erasers, pencils, drawing sticks and blending cloths. You will also learn the basics of composition, shading, lines, value and how to draw shapes. By the end of the class, you will understand how to draw objects you see by using shapes and proper proportions.

More Information: Our Back to the Basics Classes are level 1 in a three-level beginner series. Drawing classes focus on drawing techniques using a variety of drawing tools which may include pencils, colored pencils or markers. Your drawings will be as unique and diverse as you. Our instructors will help you gain confidence in applying what you learn in class at home and incorporating art into your life.

Each student will be guided step-by-step through the creative process by an experienced instructor. This class is approximately 3-3.5 hours in length but may take longer if needed. We recommend this class for children 11 or older, teens, and adults. Students must register at least 24 hours in advance.

Price: $35 for non-members or $20 for members. Ask us how to become a member.
