Back to School Cookie Decorating Class

Curious about the art of decorated sugar cookies? Whipped Up Cookie Co. is excited to assist you! We'll cover the basics to sugar cookies (so – yes, it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing! Everything you'll need is provided in class, including 6 sugar cookies (which are pretty tasty, I might add), 4 icings, and a box to take your fantastic cookie creations home, along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).

We welcome children aged 8 and above, but if you'd like to leave the kids at home, you can purchase an add-on kit. The kits are great for kids at home, plus, we'll send you the class PowerPoint so you can teach them yourself!

This class is scheduled for August 15th from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm, allowing us time to decorate and ask questions along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating up to 20 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a group or solo!

Our class will be held at the stunning Arvada Community Room in Olde Town Arvada, Colorado - located at 7601 Grandview Ave, Arvada, CO 80002. Nervous about the parking situation? Don’t be! Parking is pretty easy - there are several free parking lots nearby within walking distance.

Ladies Night? Let me recommend a night on the town! Olde Town Arvada is full of local restaurants and shops to enjoy and check out before class.

By the end of the class, you'll gain a solid understanding of sugar cookie basics along with some nifty techniques we’ll cover. Check out the details below regarding refunds, what to bring, cancellations, and FAQs. We can’t wait to have you join us!

Order your sugar cookie class kit and take the class kit home with you to teach a child or friend! Our class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and we'll email you the class PowerPoint so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie Kits are created before your class, and you'll pick them up and take them with you after class.

How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but we recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home.

Class Cancelation Policy: Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund including your Eventbrite fees.

Classes with attendance below 10 will be canceled. Don’t be sad! You can either have your ticket moved to a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund! I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance 3 days before the event is canceled so that you can bring a friend (hint hint) or find other plans for that day.

Weather Policy: Sometimes Colorado's weather doesn’t play well with cookie class schedules. In the event of inclement weather, I’ll contact you with options – these may differ depending on the weather event, but rest assured – we’ll figure something out!

Eventbrite Fees: Your ticket price covers the associated ticket fees; however, please note that Eventbrite does not offer refunds on these fees. If you choose to cancel your ticket and request a refund before the cancellation window closes, I will gladly provide a refund minus the Eventbrite fee, as I also do not receive this fee back. Eventbrite retains it regardless of whether you attend or cancel. I understand – it’s frustrating!

Allergens: Eggs, gluten, and nuts are present in the kitchen used to bake these cookies and icing. Please consider your allergies before registering.
