Our speaker's schedule:
9am- Kristen Gipe, a local homesteader, will be teaching her popular class, Sourdough 101. (Back to Basics will have dehydrated sourdough starter available for donation.)
10am- Kristen Smith of abetterwaytothrive.com will be speaking on Dandelions: For Food and Medicine. Come learn about the health benefits of this plentiful "W**d."
11am- Shawn and Beth Dougherty of The sow's ear farm and pottery will be speaking on Homesteading for Subsistence and Resilience and available the entire day to answer your homesteading questions! They will have their book, The Independent Farmstead and other publications available for purchase at their booth.
12:30- Josh Rock, a local country artist, will be playing some original tunes along with cover songs.
1pm- Jeremy Clift of Wakatomika Homestead will be speaking on Homesteading 101. Be sure to ask him about the variety of classes he holds on his homestead!
2pm- Emily Mueller of Mueller Honey Bee will be speaking on Honeybee Basics. Learn how to get started raising your own bees.
3pm- Zack Greene of Myshire Farm Quality Quail will be speaking about Quail on the Homestead! Ask him about QuailCon'24!
4pm- Julia Brown of A Simpler Thyme will be speaking on growing A Kitchen Herbal Garden. Her recently published, A Simpler Thyme in the Kitchen Cookbook will be sold at her booth.
5-7pm- The whole family can learn how to Do-Si-Do and Allemande Left as we host an old-fashioned square dance with master caller, Dan Kirk! Beginners most welcome!
Mr.Puppet Fan Page will hold 3 interactive puppet shows at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm. The kids are not going to want to miss this comedy ventriloquism show by MrPuppet coming all the way from South Carolina!! The first and second shows will be different shows! The final show will be a repeat of the first.
The kiddos can feed the animals at the Traveling Acres Petting Zoo! There will be stuffies for the children available for purchase.
Gates open at 8:30am. One Day Only! FREE Parking!
