Join us every Thursday evening for a fun night of learning BACHATA, one of the hottest Latin dances worldwide! What is Bachata?
Bachata is a dance originating from the Dominican Republic that embodies connection, footwork, and being inspired by the rhythmic beats of bachata music playing instruments including bongos, guitars, and the guira. Bachata is a fusion dance with elements and influence from Merengue, Son, and Bolero.
Over more than a decade, Bachata music and the dance has evolved not only within the D.R., but also with new moves and styles inspired by various cultures and dances all over the world with much of the modern/sensual style influenced by Spain. There are now 3 styles (among others) of dance that are commonly blended to embrace the full musicality of Bachata Music (Traditional Dominican Style, Modern Style, and Sensual Style).
With Bailemos Bachata Knoxville, you will learn all three of these styles, as we rotate teaching these styles weekly.
Venue:
Bailemos Bachata Knoxville has contracted studio space at the Square Dance Center, which has a spacious studio with wonderful floors and large mirrors! Additionally, we offer complimentary finger foods, which we feel is important for community building.

Studio Rules:
1. No shoes that may damage the studio floor
2. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL is permitted
3. Park facing the studio building (not the interstate), and please be sure to leave an entrance space to the back of the parking lot.
Class Prices:
Beginner class price is $5.
Intermediate and Advanced classes are each $10.
College students can still take any class for $5.
Seasoned dancers, take all three classes for $20 (beginner class is free with the purchase of the intermediate and advanced class).

Schedule:
Classes are drop-in style, so you can start any time; however, some classes build on the previous class, so the sooner you start and the more consistent you are, the more you will benefit from the lessons.
Lessons take place every Thursday (unless cancelled via Facebook).
Beginner Partnerwork 7:00-7:45
Intermediate Partnerwork 8:00-8:55 (‼️FB events labeled ‘Traditional Week’ will actually be a Footwork Class during the intermediate time slot)
Advanced 9:00 - 9:55
Practice Social 9:55 - 10:30
NO PARTNER NEEDED!
NO Experience Required for beginner class!
Be sure to arrive on time, and bring water to stay hydrated!
