Experience the thrill of performing on stage for family, friends, and the greater Waterloo community! And all for a great cause: ticket proceeds are donated to the Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region. Showcase programs at Underdog are priced for the best value in Southwestern Ontario! Your registration includes:
* 15 weeks of training with our incredible choreographer teachers.
* Onsite dress rehearsal with staff support.
* Costume (dance shoes not included in costuming portion of fees).
* Access to video reference of the choreography.
* Participation in showcase on the day of the event.
* Access to photos and videos of the show.
* Staffing of the UW theatre (ushers, sound and light, stage manager), programs, and backstage staff from Underdog.
Showcase Location: UWaterloo Humanities Theatre.
Showcase Date: December 21st 2024.
Mandatory Rehearsal dates: December 7th and December 21st 2024.
This is an Intermediate level Showcase. Perfect if you’re a dancer with strong foundations looking to refine technique, musicality, and styling. Choreography builds in complexity and extends beyond foundations in the chosen style. Registration opens August 2nd 2024. Special dance gear might be needed.
PRACTICE LOCATION: The Underdog Annex (181 Park St., Waterloo ON)
shoes and tights are not provided as part of showcase costuming.
***IMPORTANT***You may be required to provide or purchase your own shoes and tights. Most of these will be available via the studio at discounted prices for showcase performers. Costume information provided is tentative and subject to change dependent on availability from suppliers. In the case of a costume change, we will make every effort to find an alternative in a similar style and colour to the one shown in the inspiration photos.
***IMPORTANT***You must register with a dedicated dance partner for this team. Both partners need to register. If you need help finding a partner, please reach out to the studio for assistance. We cannot guarantee finding you a partner, but can certainly do our best! We are asking all students to register with a partner this year to ensure all students are comfortable through rehearsals, as well as to expedite the learning process and to hold all team members accountable for practising and memorizing content.
