About this Event
Bach Reimagined
This concert is a celebration of timeless works heard in different collaborative voices. Movements from Bach’s solo violin pieces are rearranged as a dialogue for two violins. A movement from the Goldberg Variations and two movements from the Bach Cello Suites will also be featured. Please join us for some beloved repertoire in a fresh and new setting.
Performers:
Angela Luchkow - baroque violin
Angela Luchkow has enjoyed performing and teaching the violin in the lower mainland for over 25 years. After having studied under Mauricio Fuks at McGill University, she has enjoyed freelancing in Vancouver, playing for many years with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, as well as the Pacific Baroque Orchestra and many other local baroque and modern groups.
Having explored medieval and renaissance repertoire up to the classical age and beyond, the baroque repertoire remains her favourite genre providing endless challenges and countless joyful and satisfying musical moments. In addition to performing she loves teaching children of all ages to play the violin and to discover their unique musical voice.
