Many parents find using a baby carrier really helpful in their parenting journey. Bring your your carrier along, see what other mothers are finding useful and we'll talk through the common types of baby carriers, how to baby wear safely, and some common tips and tricks to help with fit and comfort for you and baby.
Our sessions involve getting together to participate in a facilitated group chat on a particular topic. After a general welcome and introduction we will have around 15-20 minutes of formal discussion on the chosen topic, followed by informal social time and individual support with a breastfeeding counsellor. For attendees wanting to find out more on the topic, the facilitator can direct them to supporting ABA resources.
Participants are encouraged to share experiences, ask questions, and provide input.
This is a very relaxed meet up – it’s fine if you come late/leave early – we know what it’s like to be operating on baby time! Partners, expectant parents, friends, and children are welcome.
Our catch ups are held in the playgroup room - it's a safe space with plenty of play spaces, toys and books to keep kids of all ages entertained. There’s also great, cheap coffee and meals at the on-site community café.
