With special guest: DJ MacMane
New Orleans-born and raised hip-hop artist Lawrence Cennett -- aka Baby Boy Da Prince -- was a central component to the iconic rap/hip-hop movement borne out of his home city in the mid/late-00s. As major players like Lil Wayne and Juvenile led the way, younger acts like Baby Boy Da Prince followed suit, with one of 2007's biggest breakout hits, the Billboard Hot 100 smash "The Way I Live." The track's relaxed, "lazy" hook became an anthem for the post-Hurricane Katrina rebuilding city, hitting number one locally and prompting Universal Republic to sign him for a major national distribution deal. In that timeframe, he also toured as support for 50 Cent, Juvenile and Paul Wall.
