BAAD! Mini Ball 2024

Join our iconic judges Egyptt LaBeija, Felix Milan, & Junior Labeija for the 5th annual BAAD! Mini Ball! This event, celebrating the iconic NYC ballroom scene, will feature fierce competitors battling it out across multiple categories to win a cash prize & medallion!

To claim victory, winners must impress the judges and showcase their knowledge of ballroom history. If they stumble, the first runner-up will have the chance to snatch the prize from their hands!

Doors open @ 5PM. Main event starts @ 8PM.

Categories:

1. Commentator vs. Commentator [Open to All]: Beat the competition and snatch the mic to win a chance to co-commentate the Ball!
2. Transman/Butch Realness: Show us your pride and remember, realness comes in all shapes & sizes!
3. Femme Queen Face: Sell your face like you're on set for a the cover of Harper's Bazaar.
4. Banji Realness [Open to All]: Be the Belle of the Bronx. Rock your best South Bronx look. Smoking hookah or playing dominoes – give us your best Banji effect.
5. Bling Butch Queen in Pumps: Dazzle us with your best walk in stilettos of 5 inches or more! Size matters.
6. Old Way [Open to All]: Tell us a story in your best 80’s Hip Hop gear: Adidas, Kangol, FILA, etc.
7. Lip Sync [Open to All]: Lip Sync for your life like Egyptt LaBeija in 4 minutes or less!
8. Runway [Open to All]: All American vs. European. Celebrate BAAD!'s 25th Anniversary by bringing it in BAAD!’s colors: red, white, and black.
9. Vogue Fem [Open to All]: Vogue the house down like Taifa Ebony Mizrahi. Make it so good it’s BAAD!
