B-Side the A-Side: DJ team & club/band nites are pleased to be welcoming back Jonny Halifax (aka Honkeyfinger) to The Elmer's Arms on Saturday 27th April. Jonny's latest outift, the five-piece The Jonny Halifax Invocation takes his acid-fried, lap-steel-powered skronk & drone blues noise into another dimenshun, essaying extended sun scorched psychedelic soundscapes on the critically acclaimed albums "Açid Blüüs Räägs Vol.1 & 2”. This tour is to plug their new, Stooges-meets-Sun Ra blast of under three of yer Earth minutes, which is entitled "Thank You" - suffice to say, yer Brian Matthew would've yelled "Zounds, what sounds!" before running for cover in the BBC canteen... as ever, the B-Side DJ team will be spinning wax, and Elmer & Laurie shall dispense fine beers & mixed drinkie poos aplenty! FREE ENTRY, kicks orf at 8pm and runs until 12:45am... bring central nervous system, backbone (to slip) and ear protection...
