Every year, India generates 20,571 tonnes of cigarette butt waste — the most littered object on earth. Most of it ends up on streets, drains into water, and takes a decade to break down.
A̶r̶t̶ Ash attack is an open afternoon of painting where the medium is cigarette ash — collected, repurposed, and handed to you with a brush.
No art experience needed. No agenda.
What happens:
Paint with ash at your own pace — no instruction, no pressure. Around the space, you'll find facts about what's actually inside a cigarette butt and what GreenStraw is building to address it. If you have butts to bring in, we'll take them — every one gets recycled.
Why this exists:
GreenStraw is building cigarette butt collection infrastructure across Gujarat and connecting it to recycling. This event is our way of starting that conversation without it feeling like a lecture.
