Az elmúlt évek egyik legsikeresebb filmjének és minden idők egyik legnépszerűbb tévésorozatának zenéjét egyaránt a dél-koreai Jung Jaeil szerezte. Előbbi az Oscar- és Arany Pálma-díjas Élősködők című film, Bong Joon-ho 2019-es alkotása; utóbbi a Squid Game című széria, amely a Netflix történetének legnézettebb műsora – mindkettő Jung Jaeil jellegzetes, sokrétű zenéjével. A szöuli jazzakadémiát végzett zeneszerző generációja egyik leginnovatívabb filmes komponistája, eklektikus palettáján jól megférnek egymás mellett a klasszikus zenei (Bachtól Arvo Pärtig) és a popzenei hatások. Első magyarországi koncertjén a Budafoki Dohnányi Zenekarral és tradicionális dél-koreai hangszeresekkel lép fel, híres filmzenéi mellett pedig szólólemezének darabjai is megszólalnak majd.

The music to one of the most successful films of recent years and one of the most popular television series of all time were both scored by South Korea’s Jung Jaeil. The former is the Oscar- and Palme D’Or-winning film Parasite, directed by Bong Joon-ho in 2019; the latter is the series Squid Game, which is the most-watched programme ever on Netflix. Both feature Jung Jaeil’s distinctive, multi-layered music. A graduate of Seoul’s Jazz Academy, the composer is among the most innovative creators of film music and his eclectic palette has ample space for classical music (from Bach to Arvo Pärt) as well as pop music influences. At his first Hungarian concert, he will appear alongside the Budafok Dohnanyi Orchestra and several musical instruments from South Korea to perform his famous film music, and also some pieces from his solo albums.
