AZ ROC Construction Career Fair

What: A Construction Science Technology Apprenticeship Fair designed to connect exhibitors from construction-related companies that have open job positions and apprenticeship programs with high school juniors & seniors, college students, Veterans and active Members of the United States Armed Forces.

Attendees will meet with leaders in the construction industry who are looking to hire the next generation of construction science technology professionals for jobs or register them for apprenticeship positions. These job seekers are invited to come to the event to find a career and, through the support of the Fair’s exhibitors, are provided a ticket to stay for that afternoon’s 12:40 PM baseball game against the Kansas City Royals.

When: Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 9:30am to 12:00pm (first pitch is at 12:40pm)

Who can attend as a job seeker (Attendee)? High school juniors & seniors, college students, Veterans and active Members of the United States Armed Forces. Attendees must register through the Registration Page linked below or by scanning the QR Code.

Who can attend as an Exhibitor? Exhibitors must be from the construction field and should have open, entry-level positions with a training program or open apprenticeship programs (Exhibitor availability is limited and must be approved by the D-backs--fill out the Registration Form linked below and a D-backs representative will make contact).

Event Background: AZ ROC, in collaboration with the Arizona Diamondbacks, is hosting this important event in order to address the alarming labor shortage prevalent in the construction science technology professions. Given the vital role that the construction industry plays in the health of Arizona’s economy, it is imperative that the innovators striving to build Arizona’s future and restore its past have ready access to skilled workers equipped with the training necessary to keep Arizona thriving.

Career opportunities in the Construction Science Technology Professions are open for anyone wanting to have a meaningful career and earn high wages without the debt associated with a four-year degree. In fact, apprenticeship programs offer training and on-the-job experience while earning a paycheck at the same time. There are few industries that offer this type of earn-while-you-learn opportunity.
