The Arizona Maternal and Child Health Workforce & Policy Summit is a pivotal gathering for professionals, policymakers, advocates, and community members working to improve outcomes for parents, birthing people, and children across the state.
This year’s summit offers a dynamic exploration of the evolving maternal and child health landscape. Sessions will highlight innovative rural programs, emerging policy changes, and critical health efforts—such as Black maternal health and Indigenous-led care. We’ll unpack lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic, including a five-year lookback on “COVID babies".
Other key topics include the future of lactation support and Medicaid coverage, the role of doulas and the workforce, provider well-being, and shifting policies that impact maternal and child health.
Through rich dialogue and shared learning, we aim to advance meaningful collaboration, amplify community voice, and strengthen Arizona’s maternal and child health workforce.
