Hey Sunset Paddlers, we're back at it!
Another great opportunity to get in a gorgeous weekday sunset float before the holiday weekend!
I will be aiming to meet anyone who needs shuttle help around 415-430 at Phon D, with the goal to be in the water at water users around 530 PM. With a stop or two they should put us back at Phon D around 900pm.
Night floats are a little different when you’re getting off the water in the dark. I personally bring a headlamp, a flashlight, and extra shirt, just in case.
For those of you who can arrange your own ride or can’t make it to phon by 430 but could make it to be in water at WU by 5 - please work out a ride in chat or just meet us at WU and be ready to launch by 525 or so.
I love bringing first-timers out for night float because seeing the sunset on the river is nothing like you’ve ever seen, even the pictures that you’ll take won’t do it justice. If anyone wants to join us, please click going so we know you’re going.
All other paddle rules pertain. Bring your paddleboard, your paddle, your pump, your Tonto pass, an extra coat or hoodie, headlamp (Walmart on the way for $15-$20), and/or a flashlight you can use, and whatever food or beverages you’d like to enjoy while you witness the spectacular sunset. Please RSVP!
*Please paddle responsibly and treat the lake and surrounding areas, as well as fellow paddlers, with respect. You are responsible for yourself, your guests, and your belongings at any event we host, as this is just a local "meetup" for paddleboard and adventure enthusiasts, together for good company and shuttle assistance. We are not trained professionals. See less
