Ayurvedic Somatics: Cultivating Our Inner Medicine

In nisha's Ayurvedic Somatics practice we come together to make space for inner possibilities, stability, and authentic joy through embodiment practices of traditional medicine. nisha’s Ayurvedic Somatics activates ayurvedic acupressure points (marma) and balances the elements related to different emotions and stress responses, combining pranayama and shat kriya breathwork, meditation and visualization, and subtle movement (gentle acupressure specific asana) to release stuck emotions, replenish our nervous systems, and begin unlocking pathways to our individual and collective inner medicine.

nisha ahuja (she/they) has supported hundreds with over a decade as a trauma-informed Registered Naturotherapy Practitioner in Ayurvedic Medicine, Ayurvedic Somatics, Yogic Medicine and Energy and Mantra healing, and Embodied Racial Healing + Equity. nisha is humbled by the opportunity to have studied with spiritual teachers from a young age, and to train in traditional medicines graduating from the Centre for Ayurveda and Indian Systems of Healing (Canada/India) as an Advanced Ayurvedic Counsellor and Ayurvedic Panchkarma Therapist), following training as a Reiki Master with Varsha and Ravi Hooja (Mumbai, India), Attmic Energy Healing/Pranic Healing with Manav Ji Sahaj, and Therapuetic Yoga at Swami Vivekanada Ashram (Banglore, India), Yogic Medicine trainings with Indu Arora, and is a student of H. E. Minling Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche and other Vajrayana/Himalayan Buddhist lineage teachers. nisha also brings 20+ years of experience working internationally as a physical theater artist, voice actor, and published playwright, and currently as a Certified Intimacy Coordinator for film & television (Never Have I Ever, Mayans MC). nisha’s practice is dedicated to dissolving the boundaries between traditional medicines, ceremony, spirituality, art, and social equity, as fundamental to our collective liberation. www.theelementaljoy.com ig elemental.joy.wellness
