About this Event
What is MCT? Is there a benefit to using MCT oil? Is virgin Coconut oil the best cooking oil for weight concern? What should you know about Lauric acid and its benefits? Is pure ghee better than any cooking oil? What are polyphenols and how do they help you maintain weight? Should you practice intermittent fasting?
Join our transformative workshop to discover holistic, Ayurvedic, and functional medicine-inspired strategies for effective, balanced weight management. His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda, Sadhvi Girija, and Minaxi Acharya will guide you through the principles and practical steps for sustainable weight management rooted in Himalayan and Ayurvedic wisdom as corroborated by functional medicine-inspired approaches.
The presenters will share the value of intermittent fasting to help regulate blood sugar and improve insulin sensitivity, plus the essential role of good fats—like those in coconut oil, avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil—for promoting satiety, hormone balance, and sustained energy.
Learn mindful eating techniques to cultivate awareness of hunger and fullness, helping reduce stress-related or unconscious snacking. We’ll also discuss the utility of pranayama breathwork to activate the parasympathetic tone, enhancing digestion and metabolism naturally.
Be inspired to embrace the power of prebiotic foods—such as root vegetables, green bananas, and ancient grains—that nourish beneficial gut bacteria, balancing the gut microbiome for better digestion, immunity, and weight regulation.
Discover the benefits of brisk yoga-vinyasa (movement led by breathing) and other exercises, such as brisk walking, boost calorie burn, cardiovascular health, and stress reduction. By the end, you’ll leave with a substantive toolkit for natural, mindful weight management focusing on gut health and whole-body wellness.
A light vegetarian lunch will be served after the class concludes at 1:30pm and is included in the workshop registration fee.
About Your Teachers
His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda is a Himalayan siddha monk, who hails from unbroken lineages of the combined heritage of rishi sages and nath meditation adepts. He is among the very few adepts outside of India who has been awarded the degree of DLitt et Phil (Mahāmahopādhyāya) by the erstwhile President of the Association of Indian Universities and by the Sanskrit scholars of Calcutta, India. The degree was conferred in recognition of his meditative interpretation, scholarly analysis, and ability to articulate the philosophical nuances of Sanskrit literature. Learn more about His Holiness here.
Sadhvi Girija is a yogini and pranayama expert. She was ordained as a nun of Self Enquiry Life Fellowship in 2010 at a ceremony held in Varanasi, India. She reveals to us rare prāṇāyāma and yoga-vinyāsa-krama techniques from the Himalayan siddha tradition which she directly learnt under the guidance of His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda.
Minakshi Acharya is a Certified Health Coach dedicated to helping people achieve their true health potential. Minakshi has worked in the Health and Wellness field since 2016, specializing in clinical and fitness environments. She also serves as the Board Secretary of Self Enquiry Life Fellowship, a role she embraces with unwavering dedication and profound spiritual alignment with our mission. Her journey began in 2015 when she met His Holiness, and soon after, she took initiation from Him into the path of Raja Kriya Yoga, a practice that became the gateway to her spiritual awakening.
