GARSHANA is a full body, silk glove massage, including the feet and face, that exfoliates the skin, deeply stimulates lymphatic flow and drainage and improves agni or metabolism of the skin, making it a purposeful preparation for the Abhyanga Massage and is offered in this combination or may be added to other treatments when indicated.
ABHYANGA MASSAGE is a soothing, rhythmic full-body massage including the face and feet. Based upon Marma Points (Marmani), it promotes arterial and Lymph Circulation and Drainage Therapy that facilitates cleansing, rejuvenation, and deep relaxation.
Learn about the warm Ayurvedic oils, and Ayurvedic Assessment to select them according to your client's dosha and condition for a profound affect on the nervous system, and the Lymphatic Manual Therapy component that improves circulation, nutrition and elimination and improved appearance as it flushes out toxins and rejuvenates the nervous system.
This signature Ayurvedic Massage is a total reset to the system. Session completes with a warm towel compress.
This program provides 12 contact hours of hands on training in Garshana and Abhyanga Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork treatments , where students learn the Ayurvedic foundations, principles and theory that inform these modalities, and support effective and optimal therapeutic practice.
