The Bands
One Nine Eight:

Alternative rock group One Nine Eight, hailing from Glasgow, have hit the Scottish music scene starting in June 2022. Releasing five successful singles and an EP independently, they are filling the Scotland’s hole for heavy alternative rock and metal. Drawing influence from the grunge and nu-metal sound of the late 20th century, One Nine Eight is bringing back the classic 90s sound that’s been infecting the rock sphere.
Tanzana:
A 5-piece all-girl teenage alternative rock band from Glasgow. The band formed during late 2022 and in February were crowned winners of Battle of the Bands Lanarkshire 2023. Following this Tanzana were invited to play Eden Festivals Main stage in 2023, later performing at venues such as King Tuts, St Luke’s, Room2 and being invited to support LA rock band Death Valley Girls. Tanzana’s influences are broad and wide, including bands like Zero 7, Massive attack, Portishead and Air (to name just a few). Tanzana have recorded their first EP that is due to be released in the Autumn of 2024.

Marf:

Marf are a four piece band from Edinburgh that recently released their first single “Bled out Karma”. The band consists of Martha Cowan on vocals, Rueben Lyall on bass, Douglas Foy on guitar and William Bliault on drums. Incorporating elements of rock, jazz, trip hop and singer songwriter into their style, the band have worked hard to find a sound that reflects their varied influences.
