About this Event

People in helping professions want to support—not add to the harm experienced by—the people and communities we serve. But the pressure to say the right thing, understand every cultural difference, and avoid causing harm can leave us walking on eggshells. In trying to create safety for others, we can lose our own sense of grounding.

This interactive training, facilitated by the Restorative Justice Institute of Oklahoma, explores another way: How can we be with people in ways that honor their dignity and lived experience without sacrificing our own nervous system in the process?

Through restorative practices, reflection, and shared learning, participants will strengthen their capacity to stay grounded and open across differences, navigate difficult moments, and build relationships rooted in authenticity, trust, support, and accountability.

This will be the second of three trainings throughout the year in AWH4T's Equity and Justice series, presented by the Restorative Justice Institute of Oklahoma.
