"Hold me now / warm my heart / Stay with me / let loving start, let loving start."
Now that Thompson Twins are in your head, grab your friends, some shoulder pads, and come forget about the outside world for two hours. Doesn't matter if you were there in the 80s, or are new to that decade's music, we welcome all people on all cycles, scooters, and skates.
Our bike parties fight loneliness, foster social connection and conversation, and are slow guided way to experience the National Triangle differently.
Bring your own lights and helmet, and if you can, dress up as an 80s popstar. We'll bring the JBL Partybox to blast out your favourite songs by these artists, and many more. (For an idea about what to expect, here’s one we held in Tuggeranong).
Give us your song suggestions, especially one hit wonders and any of the classics.
We'll meet outside the Street Theatre, then ride a loop around the Central Basin of Lake BG, and stop at the National Gallery of Australia. We return to the Street Theatre via Lawson Crescent, Sullivans Creek, and the ANU campus, and a late night snack at the Mandalay Bus at Haig Park if there's demand.
