AW+E Monthly Meeting

WHAT: Join Autistic Women+ Empowered (AW+E) the third Saturday of each month! Bring your emotional support, coffee, tea, or water bottle and catch us up on all the good stuff.

WHO: We are a group of adult women who identify as Autistic. Whether you identify as Autistic or have a formal diagnosis, you are welcome to join us! Autistic Women+ Empowered centers the experience of Autistic women+, including trans women, trans feminine people, and non-binary people who connect with the feminine experience. However, all are welcome regardless of gender identity. We gather to support each other as we navigate the neurotypical world, that’s not made for us. We hope to share interests, ideas, experiences, strengths, and challenges and learn from each other.

WHERE: GALA Diversity Center 1060 Palm Street in San Luis Obispo. Metered parking in the front is pretty open on Saturday mornings, and free parking in the back!

ALWAYS: If you are planning to join us and you are new (YAY! Can’t wait to meet you!), returning after a break (WOOHOO Welcome back!) and would like extra support settling in or meeting new folks DM me (Joanna Reed). We'll make sure you get the welcome you want or need. At every meeting we have fidgets, coloring, yarn crafts to share and a tabletop game we can try.
You can always, ALWAYS start with telling us about your beloved dog, cat or pet or other special interests. Bring photos if you would like. We want to learn more!
See you on the third Saturday!
**Community Note** To help make our meetings comfortable and accessible for everyone, we ask members to please avoid wearing scented or fragranced products when attending, including perfume, cologne, body sprays, and other strongly scented personal care products. Some members may experience sensitivities or health effects from fragrances. Thank you for helping us create a welcoming environment where everyone can participate.
