AWCC Hilly ITT

AWCC Hilly Individual Time Trial – Sunday 21 st June 2026 HQ Midmar Hall
The field will be split into two bike categories: -
Category 1: Specific TT & Tri Bikes + modified road bikes
 Clip-on Aero Bars
 Disc/tri-spoke wheels
 Aero TT style helmets
 Wheel rim depths more than 65mm
Category 2: Standard Road bikes
 Standard drop or flat bars
 No clip-on aero bars
 Front/rear wheels must have a minimum of 12 spokes
 Maximum rim depth 65mm
 No aero style TT helmets
 Hydration storage must be within frame main triangle
Entries open to all adult riders split: Open and Females.
Sign-on opens – 08:45 closes 10:15
Sorry we cannot accept riders under the age of 18 as we are unable to obtain an event
safety officer for this event.
Race Description:
1. Start just past Bus shelter on B9119 beside junction of unclassified road to
Midmar.
2. Head east on B9119 to Echt
3. Turn left onto B977 to Dunecht
4. Turn left on to A944 towards Sauchen
5. After Sauchen turn left onto unclassified road (Marked Corsindae)
6. Y left at junction to start climb of Corsindae Hill
7. Climb hill through the trees till you meet a T junction with the Midmar to Lyne of
Linton crossroads
8. Turn RIGHT towards uphill S bends to finish just before Midmar Hall
Route Description :
 Section 1 (Start to Echt) – initially basically flat till Treehouse then a long slight
downhill. Then flattens before a slight climb before the entrance to Echt
 Section 2 (Echt to Dunecht) Undulating with ups and downs.
 Section 3 (Dunecht to Corsindae turn) basically flat
 Section 4 (Corsindae turn to T junction right turn) This is the section up and over
Corsindae Hill. Road narrows considerably through farmyard. Initially flattish with
some blind corners. Once past the Y junction road starts to climb on a series of open
bends all the way to the crest after which there is a short downhill to the T junction
where you turn right.
 Section 5 (T junction right turn to finish) initially flat before climbing a series of S bends
to the finish just before 20MPH signs at entrance to Midmar.
Prizes (anticipated)
 Prizes will be awarded on SCRATCH times.
 There will be prizes for the Top 3, & Lantern Rouge in each category
Note – Lantern Rouge prize is conditional on there being 4+ entries in the category
 Dependant on finances there may also be additional prizes awarded
