AWC 2026: Weaving Magic Together

The 2026 AWC will be taking place as a one day event in Ballarat on Saturday, 26th of September.
The venue is the Ballarat Mechanics’ Institute, Ballarat’s independent home of arts and culture. As a nod to the institute’s beautiful Minerva Ballroom where the conference will be taking place, the 2026 theme is “Weaving Magic Together”, with the event trialling a new, one-day format.
Minerva is the Roman goddess of law and justice, victory, creative arts, and strategy during difficult times. We see this as a good omen for the 42nd annual AWC, which has been put together through the creativity, compromise and strategic thinking of the AWC inc committee during a difficult year of insurance headaches for nonprofits everywhere.
We hope you’ll join us on the 26th of September in Ballarat. The format may be condensed, but AWC regulars can still expect all their favourites, including a spring equinox ritual, spring maiden and consort, hands-on workshops, high quality presentations, handmade market wares, and more witchy friends and fellowship than you can poke a broomstick at.
