Calling all friends and alumni of Waterbury Catholic Schools: St. Mary, Blessed Sacrament, and Catholic Academy! We extend a warm invitation to join us at La Bella Vista, the Ponte Club, in Waterbury on Thursday, October 6 at 6:00pm for our first annual awards dinner.It will be an evening of fun, reminiscing, and honoring important people who have made a difference at each of the school
Catholic Academy of Waterbury will salute the commitment and dedication of six friends and one family at their Inaugural Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 6 at the Bella Vista, according to Mark Lombardo, dinner chairman and board member.
The purpose of the event is to honor Monsignor Bevins on his 90th birthday and also to recognize the legacy of Catholic education by St. Mary School and Blessed Sacrament School which combined in 2018 to form the Catholic Academy of Waterbury. The 2022-2023 school year marks the fifth anniversary of Waterbury’s STREAM Academy. The two heritage schools served families in the Greater Waterbury community for over 150 years collectively. Now Catholic Academy of Waterbury is carrying on the very important tradition of Catholic education in Waterbury. The hallmark of Catholic Academy is the spirited selflessness of its families and volunteers. It is in this spirit of generosity that we celebrate the commitment of its honorees and merge the past with the present.
