This 4-week course, The Eight Verses of Mind Training, offers a meaningful opportunity to explore the foundations of Buddhist philosophy and practice with spiritual director Kushok Lobsang Dhamchöe. Through the teachings of the revered text Eight Verses for Training the Mind, composed by Buddhist master Langri Tangpa (1054–1123), participants will engage with transformative practices aimed at cultivating compassion, wisdom, and love.
As a cornerstone of the Mahayana Lojong (mind training) tradition, these eight verses encapsulate the essence of the Dharma, offering profound insights into the path to inner peace. Each verse serves as a guide to transform life’s challenges—fear, anxiety, and difficulties—into opportunities for awakening.

The course fee is $65 CAD for in-person attendance only (preferred), or $85 CAD for both in-person attendance and the Zoom link. It is Gaden Samten Ling’s policy that no one should be turned away due to lack of funds. IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE:
This course will be held at the Alberta Centre for Peace and Meditation, 11403-101 Street, Edmonton, AB T5G 2A9. Students are welcome to attend in person (preferred) or online via Zoom.
