In celebration of two upcoming Indian celebrations honoring the divine feminine, Navrati and Diwali, join us at River Rock for a class where you will express and move and breathe into divine feminine energy known in yoga as Shakti.
Feminine Shakti energy is a sensual, vibrant, intuitive force already within you.
Dancing is a joyful, spiritual act for women. Moving our bodies connects us to Heaven! When we release stagnant energy and stress that’s stored in our hips, shoulders, neck, and spine, we regulate our nervous system, and our energy and intuition can flow. Dancing is how we become angels and goddesses!
Yoga awakens the breath, fluidity of the spine, and inner power. Free-form naturally occurring movement as “dance” cultivates natural movement, intuition, and creativity. With Yoga and Dance you can experience the benefits of both these traditions in one energized full body session that gets the heart pumping and tones and strengthens the whole body!
Class begins with storytelling and a gentle yoga warm up for the body, progressing to your own expressive, creative movement, facilitated by your teacher. Class ends with deep relaxation, crystal bowl sound bath and mantra lullaby.

Moira Anderson, CYT, E-RYT 500, LCSW is owner and director of River Rock Yoga and Pilates, and founder of The Mississippi Center for Yoga and Health in Ocean Springs, MS. She is a Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher, teaching yoga full time since 2001, and training yoga teachers since 2007.
Moira received a bachelor of English Literature degree with a minor in Performing Arts, emphasis on Dance from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and has offered therapy in her private practice, Maitri Mental Health since 2019.
