Join us at Grantham Museum and on St Peters Hill, for a special weekend celebrating the remarkable industrial heritage of Aveling Barford and its important place in Grantham’s history.

As part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project, ‘A New Century’, the Aveling Barford Industrial Weekend will bring machinery, museum collections and personal stories together to explore the engineering, people and memories behind one of Grantham’s most significant companies.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see Aveling Barford machinery up close, discover more about how it was designed and built, and explore the people and stories connected to the company. The outdoor machinery display will complement our indoor exhibitions, where visitors can discover even more Aveling Barford-related objects, photographs and stories from the museum collection.
