On Tuesday 27th January, come along to our Winter Litter Pick and connect with nature, make new friends, raise awareness about the issue of litter and climate change, be a litter warrior and join our " Aber Valley Buzzy Bees" team of volunteers. Everyone is welcome 🙌💚🌍Come along and enjoy walking in our beautiful valley in the fresh air while acting positively helping litter picking, meeting new people, helping with positive action and making a difference 💚🌍
We do this for the community, for the environment, for the wildlife and nature around us, for our rivers and oceans, for the planet, for all of us ☺️🙌. We TAKE ACTION.
We are volunteers of all ages and backgrounds and will be meeting:
💚WHEN: Tuesday 27/01/2026 at 10.30am
💚WHERE: Senghenydd - meeting at Westside Road, by entrance to cycle lane 475.

💚DURATION: 1-2 hrs
💚Area: Cycle lane 475, kids park and walking path towards GP surgery.
💚Theme (optional): Wear black and white, stripes, zebra fave painting, fave mask, zebra t-shirt, etc, in honour of World Zebra Day.
World Zebra Day is celebrated every year on January 31st to raise awareness about zebras and the threats they face in the wild. These beautiful striped animals are not just unique in appearance—they play an important role in their ecosystems.

💚Litter picking equipment (high visibility vests, hoops, pickers and bags) and insurance provided thanks to Caerphilly Keep Wales Tidy - Cadwch Gymru'n Daclus. Please bring your own gloves and suitable foot gear/clothing. Check the weather before attending and wear suitable clothing. Events are risk assessed and insured.
