The Ave Maria Grotto is located on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey, the only Benedictine monastery of men in the State of Alabama. Brother Joseph Zoetl made miniature replicas of simple Holy Land structures, and soon had enough for an outdoor village he called "Little Jerusalem."http://www.avemariagrotto.com/
