AV Festival is a two-night urban festival experience built around warmth, deep sound, and togetherness. Think golden tones, autumn textures, cozy energy, and dancefloors that pull you in and don't let go.

A carefully curated blend of international guests and Ōtautahi underground talent — from deep, hypnotic grooves to high-energy late-night heat. Many of these artists hold residencies or run some of the most respected dance events in Christchurch.

The first night sets the tone — intimate, warm, and building. Two stages of carefully programmed music, wrapped in autumn-inspired production and immersive sound.

• Live electronic acts
• Immersive lighting, lasers & autumn-inspired visuals
• Chill-out zones & social spaces
• Food trucks & outdoor hang areas

🕐 3:00pm – 2:00am

Saturday opens with golden-hour grooves and builds into a fully stacked night programme across two stages. Longer, deeper, and with the full weight of production behind it.

Featuring everything from Friday plus:

• Afternoon sessions & community flow
• Evening transition into peak-hour programming
• Full production, lasers & environmental lighting
• Performers, dancers & visual elements
• Two-stage programming under the underpass

For those who aren't ready to call it a night, we're offering Kick-Ons at XCHC as an add-on for ticket holders only.

A more intimate space to continue the night, connect with artists, and keep the music going into the early hours.
