American Legion Auxiliary Little Miss/Mr Poppy and Miss/Mr Poppy Contest 2022 - 2023Two Categories: Little Miss/Mr Poppy (Ages 6 – 12) Miss/Mr Poppy (Ages 13 – 17)
1. Entrant must be between 6-12 years of age or 13-17 years of age and a Junior member in good standing with the American Legion Auxiliary.
2. Promotional activity of the Poppy Story must be through The American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the community.
3. Selection of Little Miss/Mr Poppy and/or Miss/Mr Poppy is at the discretion of the Unit.
4. Entrant must submit a Little Miss/Mr Poppy or Miss/Mr Poppy scrapbook (81⁄2” x 11”) containing photographs and clippings illustrating how they promoted the American Legion Auxiliary poppy.
Rules for Judging Little Miss/Mr Poppy or Miss/Mr Poppy Scrapbook Entries
1. Promotion of the Poppy Program is the theme.
2. Include publicity of poppy activities (newspapers, radio/tv, etc.)
3. A narrative report, not to exceed 100 words, on “The Memorial Poppy” must be submitted.
4. A narrative report on “What I have Learned Being Little Miss/Mr Poppy or Miss/Mr Poppy” must be
submitted.
5. Both narratives are required and must be included in the scrapbook.
6. Memorial Poppy must be visible in all promotion and publicity submitted.
7. Neatness and creativity will be judged.
8. The cover page must include Member name, Unit name, number and year.
