Workshop Description

Enjoy a day of painting autumnal watercolours. Autumn is a beautiful time of year full of colour to lift anyone’s mood from bright oranges, deep russet reds and warm browns which all adorn our countryside. This workshop is suitable for all levels and will encourage students to explore some key watercolour techniques to produce their own autumnal studies of leaves and trees. You will be taught through demonstrations alongside lots of 1:1 encouragement from an experienced Tutor.

Target Audience

Beginners to those with some experience

Objectives

· Choosing an autumnal colour palette

· Brush strokes and water control

· Essential watercolour techniques EG. Wet in wet / dry brush / Variegated wash.

· Putting it into practice to complete your own autumnal watercolour studies

· Build confidence and enjoy the creative process.

Materials and Equipment

All materials are provided on this workshop. This includes one piece of good quality watercolour paper and Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolour paint. If you have brushes already and would like to bring them along please feel free to. I will provide a size 12 round brush for each student.

N.B There will be additional good qaulity watercolour paper for you to purchase on the day, should you wish to do so.
