Saturday 12th October, 2-5pm: Speaking & Text with Lizzy McBain
in the studio at Pegasus Theatre
Come and explore different techniques for bringing text to life. Starting with games and warm ups, we will have a go at a few different methods of speaking aloud together before working on poetry and choral text to perform at our Songs & Stories of the Sea evening.
This will be a great opportunity to try speaking in unison, in chorus, and in response to each other. Together we will explore different ways of conveying the sounds, emotions and textures of the sea, and you will be amazed at the sounds we can create.
Lizzy McBain is an Oxford-based theatre director with 17 years experience of teaching and running community projects, including teaching the weekly Theatre Workshops at the Old Fire Station.
