Autumn Inspiration – A Mixed Media and Stitch Workshop with artist Delny Fitrzyk: £75

Experiment with mixed media and stitch inspired by leaves, seedpods and seasonal natural forms.
Celebrate the shift in season with a joyful dive into mixed media creativity. This relaxed, no-pressure workshop invites you to embrace playful exploration—layering, combining, and discovering materials in unexpected ways. Find inspiration in the vibrant textures and colours of autumn: beautiful leaves, curious gourds and pumpkins, acorns, fungi, and harvest fruits. Guided by these natural wonders, you’ll experiment with techniques including ink and bleach, wax resist, watercolours, stencils and a whole lot more. You will then add texture and depth to your paintings using free machine embroidery.
No prior experience is necessary. Delny, an experienced teacher, will guide you through the process and respond to individual ideas and needs.
Please bring your own sewing machine. If this is a problem, spares can be arranged with prior notice. All other materials and resources will be provided.
Optional extras: plenty of inspiration will be provided but feel free to bring any Autumn images/objects etc or any sewing materials (threads, cottons, fabric scraps) you’d like to use.
Delny is a Shropshire based mixed media textile artist and teacher. Her work is inspired by nature and her surroundings – particularly the Shropshire landscape.
