Autumn Felting & Feather Workshop – October 19th 9.30-12.30Join us for a cozy, creative afternoon learning the art of needle felting! A hands-on experience combining creativity and close-up owl encounters!
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your very own soft, woolly autumn owl — perfect for seasonal décor or as a heartfelt handmade gift.
Starting at 9.30 you will have the opportunity to meet, handle and fly some of our beautiful owls. All under the instruction of our falconer you will meet and handle some different species including the beautiful Barn Owl, Tawny Owl & Eagle Owl.
From here head out into the flying grounds where you can experience the owls silent flight as they glide into your gloved hand. This is a great time to get inspiration before you go on to needle felt your own owl to take home.
This will be followed by a break in our tea room where you can enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and a delicious slice of cake.
From here you will go on to needle felt your own Owl. Led by Sonia from Felted Friends by Sonia you will receive expert instruction on how to turn soft wool into your own owl. All equipment is provided, you don’t need any experience in needle felting, Sonia will guide you through step by step. A fun and creative way to spend a morning!
