Join us in welcoming the Autumn Equinox with a special workshop celebrating the ancient practice of smudge stick weaving. This hands-on gathering will connect you with the earth, the traditions of our ancestors, and the cycles of nature as we prepare for the cocoon of autumn. Highlights:
Short Guided Foraging Walk: Together, we’ll collect herbs, flowers, and other natural elements to weave into our smudge sticks, all whilst learning about the medicinal and spiritual properties of these plants. Our guide will share folklore stories to connect you to the rich history of our native plants.
Smudge Stick Weaving: With guidance, you’ll craft your own smudge stick using the foraged materials, including additional flowers and crystals. Whether you’re new to this practice or a seasoned weaver, you’ll leave with a unique creation that carries the energy of the season and intentions of the circle.
Storytelling and sharing: As we weave, we'll gather in a circle to share stories and folklore that honour the autumn equinox. Discover the myths and traditions associated with this time of balance, harvest, and reflection, and connect with the wisdom passed down through generations.
Intention Setting: The autumn equinox is a powerful time for setting intentions as we transition into the introspective months of autumn and winter. In a supportive group, we’ll take time to reflect on our personal journeys, share our hopes for the coming months, and infuse our smudge sticks with these intentions.
