The Autumn Equinox is a moment in time of cosmic equanimity that helps us to honor the balance between day and night and the balance between light and dark. And this night offers us the space to explore balance within ourselves and within our lives.The Autumn Equinox is also the beginning of a cosmic dive into darkness, providing us more down-time. At this time we are encouraged to welcome and not resist this universal force that pulls us inward. This is a special time for meditation, reflection and rest. We use this time as an opportunity to surrender to our inner gravity, to ask difficult questions, and to listen deeply for what arises.
During this time, we see plants starting to surrender their vegetation in response to the shorter days and cooler nights. Their leaves drained of life-giving sustenance, eventually falling to the ground. We can interpret these environmental cues as a reflection of our own internal seasons and emulate that process by letting go, slowing down and taking time for regenerative practices.
The Autumn Equinox is also a time when the light and activity in summer gives way to the stillness and shadow of fall. The shadow side of us encompasses all things outside the light of our consciousness. Our unconscious harbors everything that is unseen or hidden from our awareness, like the dark side of the moon. This is a time to excavate anything that may be churning beneath the surface, a time to invite such thoughts and emotions to gently rise and dissolve.
In this special healing ceremony, we will weave sound healing and ritual together using prayer, invocation, meditation and contemplation. In this inward meditative journey you will experience deep ambient soundscapes of our gongs, crystal singing bowls, the drum, flutes, rattles, toning and more.
Being immersed in these remarkable sounds at this auspicious time helps to bring forth healing, guidance, clarity, insight and so much more.
This is also an invitation to consciously take part in the re-balancing process that is taking place within our earth mother. Mother earth will naturally provide her support for our personal process by offering her wisdom and energy in exchange.
This is also an opportunity to embrace the coming fall as we start our spiral inward during this seasonal shift.
