This is a whole day concentrating on all things YOU! A day created to connect with SELF, bring balance and restoration.
As the wheel of the seasons change, join us as we celebrate the Autumn Equinox. This is a time of gratitude for the harvest reaped during the heat & busyness of Summer. As the leaves are being released from the trees back to the earth, you are being called back to you.
Our day will include a Cacao opening ceremony, gentle movement, relaxation exercises, the opportunity to journal, optional sharing, a meditative woodland walk, a releasing ceremony, lunch, creating intentions for our journey through Autumn and preparing to Winter. Closing our time together by being cocooned in an embodying sound bath.
What is Cacao?
Cacao has been used in ancient ceremonies in South and Central America for thousands of years. It has an active ingredient in it called theobromine — which can be translated to, ‘Food of the Gods’.
So it makes sense that cacao was given its sacred status, and enjoyed in communal ceremonies by the Maya with their Gods.
The word cacao actually came from the Maya word Ka’kau, and the Maya word Chokola’j — which means to drink chocolate together.
You probably already know that cacao comes from the cacao bean — which is also used to make chocolate. But the cacao plant is seen as a medicinal plant, and has been used for a number of spiritual, medicinal and ceremonial purposes throughout history.
Through our time together we will be sitting with this heart opening Medicine to open the body in preparation & in support of the day’s Journey you will embark upon. The Cacao will support you to sink deeper into the wisdom of your body.
This is an invitation to slow down and journey within as we begin to relax through meditation and Pranyama (focusing on the breath).
The gentle movement will be mat based, yoga mats will be available but please feel free to bring your own.

All equipment and materials are provided. However please feel free to bring these additional items:
Your journal,
A pen,
Your water bottle,
An additional blanket/pillow for the sound bath.
Wear comfy clothes that you can move in.
Waterproof jacket (just in case) for the mindful walk - although I have every intention of the weather being kind 😊
