This was a blast last year, on a smaller scale, so I'm thinking bigger this year!! SAVE the DATE (midday): Saturday, September 21st, to build a big flower mandala at Burrows Park on Lake Mendota (Madison, WI). This event is FREE.
Let's shoot for a 30-40 ft diameter mandala using flowers from many many gardens! If you don't have access to flowers (no worries, we'll have many!!), you are just as welcome to collaborate for installation.
This is a time to gather with gratitude for the bounty of the summer (and our gardens)!! Offerings for the land help us be in relationship to place, practice what reciprocity means, and feel more supported by the community & ecosystem around us.

For locals wanting to harvest & contribute your own flowers, free seedlings may be available this May/June. DM @Anne Drehfal or @Embody Sacred Life to logisticate.
To prep for the mandala, we will also have volunteer flower harvest days at a big labyrinthian flower garden in Waterloo, WI. In exchange for your time harvesting flowers, we'll have a photo day with a drone to capture aerial shots. ?
