Formed in 2006, Automelodi is a constantly evolving project based around the solo work of songwriter/producer Xavier Paradis. Automelodi’s music embraces and recontextualizes a spectrum of influences that include the lesser-known European synthpop and post-punk of the latter Twentieth Century, combined with literary stylizations reminiscent of Gallic songwriters such as Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Fontaine—with nearly all vocals delivered in French. His vibrant live performances do not leave anyone cold on the dance floor. After a successful Latin American last spring and two European tours last summer, including a standout performance at the renowned Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT) festival, Automelodi is finally coming back to the US.
Automelodi's latest single "Cavallo" came out last year and it has been getting a lot of attention and play. With a new album set to debut in 2025, Automelodi will perform new tracks from this upcoming release, along with his classic songs and fan favorites from over the years.
