About this Event
To be eligible for this training you must be working in an Ofsted registered early years setting within the borough of Oldham.
This workshop will develop your understanding of how autism can impact on toileting. We aim to equip you with practical strategies to support autistic children in becoming more independent in this area.
You will have the opportunity to:
· Explore how the three key areas of difference in autism can influence continence and self-care.
· Understand the importance of consistent collaboration between all adults involved in the child’s care.
· Gain insight into effective approaches for supporting personal care needs.
· Consider planning tools that help ensure autistic children and young people are well supported as they develop these life skills.
