CUSTOMIZING DYNAMIC EDUCATIONAL SOLUTIONS FOR EXCEPTIONAL LEARNERS

A “one size fits all” approach simply isn’t enough for students on the autism spectrum. Fortunately, school choice in Arizona has advanced the opportunity to envision a unique and customized solution. With an abundance of school options, as well as therapeutic services, combined with a little knowledge and creativity, parents can be empowered to create a custom educational solution for their child’s unique needs.

MAKING CONNECTIONS BY CHANGING YOUR VIEW
Staci Neustadt, SLP, Sue Golubock, OT, Making Sense of Autism
We are learning new perspectives from Autistic adults and recent research. Susan Golubock, an Autistic adult and retired Occupational Therapist, has taken that research and what Autistics are expressing they want to learn to create a new framework, Neuro-Strengths Based Support for Autism. This framework is a guide to better understanding the Autistic brain and how to support Autistics in a way they want to be supported. The beautiful result when this framework is used is connection. When we feel seen, heard, and understood we connect with those listening to us.
