Centering the music, SKIZ deftly lays out the history of east-coast rap against DOOM's life story and dissects the personas, projects, tracks, and lyrics that led to his immortality.

About the authors:
S.H. Fernando Jr., aka SKIZ, is a writer/journalist whose byline has appeared in national publications from the New York Times and Rolling Stoneto The Source.
Will Hagle is the author of the 33 1/3 book on 'Madvillain's Madvillainy.' His next book, 'Midwest Emo,' will come out in 2026.
