we’re excited to host Richmond-based poet and author of the new collection, Steel Slides and Yellow Walls, Alicia Swain, in conversation with Ravynn K. Stringfield, author of Love in 280 Characters or Less and Love Requires Chocolate!over the course of an hour, we’ll explore the importance of providing authentic and modern portrayals of Black girlhood and young adulthood across genres, with an emphasis on fiction, to spark feminist-forward conversations that encourage folks to find confidence and community through literature.
