Author Storytime with Maddie Frost

Join us for spooky storytime with author and illustrator Maddie Frost! Maddie will read from her new picture book Little Boo, featuring a pesky little sibling paired with gentle social emotional learning. It's perfect for Halloween or any time of year when a new baby arrives and brings change. Following the reading, Maddie will lead a drawing demonstration, answer questions, and sign books!

This event is free, but RSVPs are required as spots are limited. We hope to see you there!

Ticket holders who purchased a book-included ticket and are unable to attend the event will be able to pick up their book at An Unlikely Story up to 30 days following the event.

ABOUT THE BOOK:Little Boo is the best! Until Little Boo is the worst...Why couldn't Big Boo have a little witch or even a little vampire for a younger sibling?

When the antics of their little sibling start to get to Big Boo, they decide to trade for a friend's younger sibling, Little Howl. At first this seems like a great idea, but soon enough Big Boo finds that the grass isn't always greener and Little Howl is a whole new level of monster. This sweet and humorous story about sibling relationships acknowledges the frustrations but, ultimately, the love that comes with a new addition to the family.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:Maddie Frost is the author and illustrator of Chip Plays Grown-Up, her first I Can Read Comic, which introduces Chip, an engaging young penguin. She’s also the creator of the Wombats! graphic novels, Shared Space, Capybara Is Friends with Everyone, Let’s Draw Fun Animals, and Iguana Be a Dragon and the illustrator of Shine Like a Unicorn and many other books. Maddie lives in Massachusetts with her family.
